My name is James Morley and I believe that St Lawrence State School offers students opportunities that no other educational facility can. We provide our students with the differentiation they require to achieve to their best whilst also ensuring they receive wider exposer and life experiences to build excitement and curiosity in their everyday learning.

My background has been varied and I have seen much of this state during my employment with Education Queensland. I have been employed with Education Queensland since 2009. I began my career in Brisbane teaching at various schools including Holland Park State School, Wilston State School and Harris Field State School. Following these positions I travelled north to Townsville to take a role at Garbutt State School. It was here that I realised my aspiration to become a school leader.

In 2015, I took the role of principal at Stonehenge State School, 155km west of Longreach. This was a short term position but one which provided me with the opportunity to travel to this lovely town. Throughout the various schools I have worked at I have had a great many learnings. However, the most important thing that I hold on to is that every child should be succeeding, everyday and that as teachers, we need to differentiate and provide the assistance students need to grow and thrive in our ever-changing world.
