Enrolling at St Lawrence State School
Enrolling at St Lawrence State School is an important and exciting step, and we look forward to welcoming new students and families into our school community.
St Lawrence State School provides education for students from
Prep to Year 6, as well as a
State Delivered Kindergarten program for eligible kindergarten-aged children.
Families considering enrolling are encouraged to contact the school to arrange a visit and enrolment conversation. This provides an opportunity to meet our staff, see our school and discuss your child's individual learning needs, interests and transition to St Lawrence State School.
For each child enrolling, an enrolment form must be completed. Families may also be asked to provide relevant documentation, including:
- the child's birth certificate or passport
- previous school reports or learning information, where applicable
- relevant medical, health or support information
- any additional documentation requested as part of the enrolment process.
Parents and carers enrolling a child in Kindy or Prep classes can use the Queensland Government’s
online calculator to see when your child is eligible to start Kindy, Prep and Year 1.
Families interested in our
State Delivered Kindergarten program are encouraged to contact the school to discuss eligibility, available places and the enrolment process.
We welcome enquiries from prospective families and are happy to discuss what learning and belonging at St Lawrence State School can offer your child.
